Sunday, November 21, 2010 the World Day to commemorate the victims of the Road. All over the world initiatives will take place to commemorate the victims. a public meeting will take place and two spots of the day will be screened besides, there will be indicated some ways of working for the New coming Year.

The Foundation will activate a new dynamic site and a new organized structure based on the "Sentinels of road safety", a model already tested by doctors in charge of the local space environment.

Will promote the realization of a national training on road safety issues and new patterns of mobility and sustainable development.

On November 22 dates and purposes of a new action against road accidents will be fixed and in particular:

1. A conference will take place to develop national health and social services aimed to minimize the damage from car accident (first aid, access to emergency health and care services). Also preparing a law for the rights of victims of the road.
2. 50% of deaths occur in cities. From there we must depart for the next 10 years of ruling for road safety. For next spring we will organize an international meeting, "The City of networks" to discuss how to reorganize the material networks (more local and public transport) give centrality to walking and cycling in opposition to pollutants (from heating and circulation) and intangible networks (work, communication, etc.). It is time to promote a new renaissance in our cities. A restoration project of urban culture (relationship between individualism and Community, material and virtual networks, private and public transport, road maintenance) which is not possible without efficient institutions, based on public participation and the practicing of a local democracy.
